SHORT COURSES

Short courses will be arranged and run when a minimum of six therapists have indicated a desire to attend any particular course. Each course will last two days with three night’s accommodation available, if required. The courses will be run either at weekends or mid-week depending on the preference of the applicants.
All attendees should be suitably qualified therapists and should be experienced in the use of hypnoanalytical techniques.

Weight Management

This course is designed to assist therapists to increase their understanding of the problems inherent within weight management conflicts and to develop procedures and the practical skills for working with clients with weight related problems.

Stop Smoking

This course is designed to assist therapists to develop an holistic approach to smoking cessation thereby increasing their success rates. This course also embraces the development of procedures and the practical skills necessary to assist in bringing about changes in addictive behaviours.

Past Life Regression

Some therapists may doubt the efficacy of past life regression and indeed its position in the armoury of techniques available for use with clients. This course is designed to develop the practical skills involved in utilising past life regression techniques to assist clients in the identification and resolution of present day problems.

Stress Management

This course is specifically constructed to assist students to create, and form the content of, their own stress management programmes/workshops. Course content includes assistance with the development of organisational and logistical skills necessary to present a stress management programme to a variety of audiences and in diverse circumstances.

Short courses are offered in Stress Management, Weight Management, Smoking Cessation and Past Life regression.

Entry to these courses is open to any practising hypnotherapists who wish to update their experience and/or qualifications.

Marker's Weekend - Dates: 26th/27th & 28th September 2008

This is a short course devised for Members of the NSPH who have a minimum of three years practising as hypnotherapists. Previous teaching/marking experience would be an advantage though is not compulsory. Successful students may become nominated markers for specialist topics in the practitioner level training examination.

Learn more about the role of the Universe and our interaction with it. Develop skills in manifesting and creating your own future reality.

This course is designed for anyone who would like to further their personal and spiritual growth. Although some hypnotic techniques will be utilised during the course, participants do not require to have any formal training in hypnosis as all hypnotic sessions will be led by a master practitioner.

SCHEDULE FOR PRACTITIONER COURSE – APRIL 2008
PART 1 (Full Time) Sunday 13.04.08 – Saturday 26.04.08 incl.

Students attend the school for a two week residential course for the initial input and practical aspects of the course. Week one runs from Sunday to Saturday (inclusive) - week two from Monday to Saturday (inclusive).

Hours:
Initial Sunday and Both Saturdays – 0930hrs – 1800hrs
Mondays – Fridays (incl.) 0930hrs – 2100hrs,
Second Sunday is free time

PART 2 (Part Time) Sunday 27.04.08– Saturday 24.05.08

A four week home based study period, for revision and completion of case studies.

Case Studies cut-off date for receipt – Wednesday 28.05.08

PART 3 (Part Time) Sunday 25.05.08– Saturday 21.06.08

Four weeks for the completion of the home-based, open book examination. Exam papers must be received by the cut-off of Wednesday 25.06.08 otherwise they will not be marked until the completion of the course following.

Exam papers will be marked and results returned to students – Week commencing 03.08.08

PART 4

On successful completion of Parts 1, 2 & 3 the NSPH will offer the graduate LICENTIATE membership and a Mentor will be allocated who will be available for support and guidance for the following 6 months. During that period, and after obtaining necessary insurance to practise, the graduate (LNSPH) will be required to complete two further case studies involving hypnoanalysis.

Completion of Part 4 to the necessary standard will gain the graduate FULL MEMBERSHIP of the NSPH and the designation MNSPH.

Ongoing support and guidance will be available through the NSPH hotline immediately following Part 1 of the course. ‘

Four weeks for the completion of the home-based, open book examination with a two week additional allowance for Festive Season.  Exam papers must be received by the cut-off of Wednesday 14.01.09 otherwise they will not be marked until the completion of the course following.

Exam papers will be marked and results returned to students – Week commencing 22.02.09

 PART 4

Postgraduate TRAINING

Postgraduate training weekends are offered to all Members of the NSPH. These are held twice annually in Argyll. A separate training centre in Yorkshire, also offers Postgraduate training, details of which are available from the NSPH site.
